Styled Shoot: Creekside Celebrations

Winter wonderland!! Winter weddings do NOT have to be boring, and you don’t have to settle for “holiday vibes” if you don’t want to. With the additions of dried elements and a ton of texture, you can achieve a look that toes the line between sophsticated and laid-back. Check out the work of these talented Whatcom and Skagit County local vendors that brought this rustic-chic vision to life!

Michelle and Kris: Christianson's Nursery

Christianson’s is one of my favorite venues! You can do so much here, from the blank canvas of the schoolhouse to the outdoor gardens to the greenhouse itself. M+K chose to celebrate outside with their nearest and dearest for their intimate garden wedding, with the most fun color palette. The majority of their flowers came from local flower farms and were at the peak of freshness. Their fun-loving personalities really shone through their florals!

Michael and Amy: Barnstar Events

M+A had a very clear vision of what feelings they wanted their florals to evoke: a little wild, a little lush, and a LOT like a Pacific Northwest garden. The bouquets featured fresh stock, amaranth, lisianthus, and scabiosas and snapdragons, proving you can have a stunning arrangement without traditional statement flowers. I feel like the vibe was achieved!

Kathryn and Bradford: Vineyard Wedding

If you are considering booking a venue that can be described as a “Blank Space”, this is beautiful photographic proof of the role that florals can play in transforming the look and feel of your event. This winery reception featured minimalist table settings and bare walls, allowing the flowers to do the work of softening the feel and bringing in the colors and textures of spring. All flowers chosen were seasonal, locally grown, and picked at their peak to ensure their best performance on Kathryn and Brad’s Best Day.

Styled Shoot: The Finery on Camano Island

A dreamy late-spring styled shoot with top-notch vendors from all over the Puget Sound area, combining skills from the greater Seattle area, Skagit Valley, and Whatcom County. Our setting was the rustic, intimate venue of The Finery, located on beautiful Camano Island; the perfect place for a small wedding in a quiet, peaceful environment with experienced hosts that take true pride in providing a clean, immaculately landscaped property. A true dream team, all of these vendors are highly professional and provide stunning, quality work. I’ll let the photos speak for themselves!

Jacelyn and Matt: Lairmont Manor

A rescheduled date from Spring to late Summer, a guest list cut from 200+ to just 3 of their nearest and dearest, these two beautiful souls took everything Covid tossed at them and created the most beautiful day full of joyful moments and pure love. Their micro-wedding was held at Lairmont Manor in Fairhaven, renowned for it’s beauty and timeless romance. Flowering for their special day was a highlight of 2020 for me, congratulations J+M!

Kristine and Ryan: Broadway Hall

Maybe I am a little biased since I got married at Broadway Hall myself in 2016, but this is my favorite little indoor venue in Bellingham. Built in 1905, its period charm is intact and celebrated, with mouldings, little nooks, a beautiful fireplace and dramatic staircase for your grand entrance as a couple. If you getting married in the winter months, this venue is perfectly cozy and elegant at the same time. The chandelier upstairs is a dream, as are the hardwood floors. The cherry blossom trees across the street were popping off for K+R as they celebrated with their closest friends and family in April.
