Lisa and Mitchell: Mount Baker Wilderness

L+M hired some of the best photographers around to take them up one of the wildest forest service roads on Baker (if you know, you know). The views are worth the high-clearance, 4x4 vehicle requirement to get here! After traveling from the East Coast they got to enjoy gorgeous weather with their nearest and dearest, gorgeously captured by Zoe S. from The Foxes Photography.

Schantell and River: Saint Edwards Lodge

These two sweet humans were just the best to work with. All the vibes on this day were so loving, peaceful and warm; which may explain why they were drawn to such a joyful color palette! Sunflowers were the stars here (S’s favorite flower) as well as rudbeckias, roses, Queen Anne’s lace, cosmos, dahlias and fresh greenery. Almost all of this was locally grown! Their venue was Saint Edward’s Lodge in Seattle and WOW was it stunning. The Grotto is one of the most charming and welcoming forested sites I’ve ever seen (as well as shaded from the August sun!), the walking paths and forest were beautiful. I wish I lived closer so I could spend more time there!

Sarah and Nick: Santucci Farms

Peaceful and inviting florals abound at this dreamy Skagit Valley venue (Santucci Farms), and on the hottest day of the year too! It hit 98 degrees and the flowers and greenery never faltered. The centerpiece boxes were handmade by the couple and smelled like wonderful woods, and with the scented flowers it was a match made in heaven.

Camisa and Eric: Mount Baker + Barnstar Events

C+E planned their wedding as a two-part event: a sunrise “elopement style” photo shoot on Mount Baker with just the two of them and their photographer, and then a traditional ceremony and reception with family and friends at Barnstar Events in Ferndale. The best of both worlds, and these photos show how much fun they all had together!

Lindsey and Ethan: Santucci Farms

Some dreamy florals for a super sweet couple! Located at one of my favorite Skagit Valley venues, Santucci Farms, these flowers complemented the gently rustic converted horse barn of the venue as well as the lovingly curated gardens. L chose grounded neutrals for their color palette; creams, red-toned burgundies, peaches, whites, textural elements and swaying grasses. Peaceful, easy and a great accent to the feel of the day. All family members were genuinely happy to be in each other’s company, helping to create a perfect day for this couple. Just a lovely experience all around.

Kate and Adam: Artist Point

K+A got super lucky with their planned elopement, we had the coldest spring we’ve had in decades and the snow took forever to melt. The road up to Artist’s Point (the topmost vehicle-accessible location on Mount Baker, for those who have never visited) opened the day before their elopement and they were able to have their plan A! K asked for white, in-season flowers for her bouquet and mentioned how much she loved dahlias. We were able to get her the very blooms of the season! The snow on the mountain was the perfect backdrop for the white and green palette and these two kind souls got to have their perfect day their way. Magical!

Cassie and Austin: Georgetown Ballroom

Whenever the Tapestry Team is involved in planning a wedding, you can be SURE it is chock full of pure intention, love, and nothing fluffy or stuffy. Just good people having a good time. C+A wanted overflowing yet minimalist florals to complement their brick venue (think curving vines, garden roses and petite little floral sprays), leaving plenty of space for their guests to mingle and most importantly, dance dance dance.

Chris and Lynn: Peace Arch Park

If you’ve never been this far North before, Peace Arch Park is located on the border between the United States and Canada, where people from each country can meet without officially crossing the border with passport in hand. During the Covid-19 border closures, this was the only way that many families could see each other. C+L were no exception; this was the only they could see each other for such a long time that it made sense to marry in this beautiful place with both sides of the family in attendance. With towering rhododendrons, lovely grounds and water views, the backdrop for their day is truly stunning.
